Cyber Risk Management

This session will help start the conversation on cyber risk and provide a roadmap moving forward. Questions covered by this session are: What questions Managers should be asking IT; What IT needs to tell management; why reporting structure is important; Available guidance; adopting a process in alignment with industry risk management standards; and Continuous risk management. We will discuss the current threat landscape including a deep dive into the current Ransomware epidemic using it as a case study for how cyber risk management can work.
Bio: Donald works with local municipalities, non-profits, corporations and federal agencies, specializing in a wide array of compliance programs, audits and security assessments such as PCI, NIST RMF & CSF, COBIT, ITTIL, & ISO27002. He performs CISO-as-a-Service, IT governance, cybersecurity control assessments, cyber risk assessments, policy review, cybersecurity awareness training and customized cybersecurity services. He holds a bachelor’s degree from American Military University in Security Management/concentration in Information Security and master’s degree from Biola University.
